Quality Improvement Department, Parwan University
The Main Quality Improvement Committee, headed by the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, is responsible for overseeing the committee's functions across the university. To ensure the effective execution of its mandate, the Committee Secretary collaborates with the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs to facilitate the timely implementation of procedures for evaluating teaching quality, as well as the new quality improvement framework. The Secretary is also responsible for supervising the activities of sub-committees at the faculty level and reporting on their performance to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Working in close coordination with these sub-committees, the Main Quality Improvement Committee conducts self-assessments—both among faculty members and across the university as a whole—to identify strengths and weaknesses. By reporting these findings to the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the committee addresses existing shortcomings; this process enables faculty members to resolve their own deficiencies while also facilitating the resolution of issues in other departments. Through the application of such sustainable strategies, the university not only aligns its academic and administrative operations with the standards and criteria established by the Ministry of Higher Education but also takes concrete steps toward implementing the eleven criteria for quality assurance and accreditation. In addition to the Main Quality Improvement Committee at the university level, sub-committees have been established within each faculty; these operate in accordance with a structured plan and the specific procedures mandated by the Main Quality Improvement Committee. The Quality Improvement Committees are composed of the following members: Members of the University’s Main Quality Enhancement Committee:
